DO NOT TALK TO CBV COLLECTIONS CANADA

Speaking to anyone from CBV Collections in Canada is a sure way to have your credit and private information compromised forever.  They will use any and all information you give them to further sink your credit profile.  They employ convicted criminals who have easy access to any personal information they have so it's important that you never add any, even if you truly do owe someone money to protect yourself from CBV Collections Identity Theft and Fraudulent debt collections.

If you hear the words "calling from CBV Collections" it is important that you hang up the phone immediately, without confirming your identity.  It is important that you contact your telephone provider and have any and all of their numbers blocked from being able to call you again.  Because they will, over and over, with hopes of suckering you into debts that are not yours.

If you do have unpaid debts, it is important that you contact and ONLY negotiate with your original creditor.   If they've already sent your file to CBV you need to tell them you will not negotiate anything with CBV and if they want the account paid they will need to remove your file and all information from CBV.

Until the government of Canada steps in and starts arresting and jailing the management and staff at CBV, Canadians are all in extreme danger of Identity Theft and fraudulent debt collections.

If you are an employee of CBV Collections, you need to start looking for honest work and let your management go down with their ship.  Do not be fooled by the hyperbole that is given to you at hiring and do  not allow your managers to compromise your integrity.  Because they do, they will, and couldn't operate otherwise.  Do the right thing, quit before you become fully trained in the ways of Identity Theft and Fraud.

  2. They phone me claiming I have an unpaid debt to Rogers from 13 years ago. Not true. Even if it was true, all records are not kept after 7 years. It's extortion.

  3. Also, Equifax indicates that I have no outstanding debts.

  7. WATCH OUT !!!
Here's how they get your number and other info.

They recently called a family member with a bogus debt... she almost fall for it, thinking that she actually owed and was close to pay on line.

Weird thing is that the number they called is rather new, almost never used and never posted publicly except for: IN A RESUME sent to a handful of potential employers.

So, clearly what happened is that either stole the information, obtained it illegally or might present themselves as potential employers to unethically update their databases.

WHERE IS THE CRTC? WHERE DOES THE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT STANDS?

Please file complaints against this THIEVES

BTW. The supposed debt was corroborated with the supposed service provider and she even had a positive balance.

  8. Just got a call from these people for the first time today, calling about a bill owed to Telus or Koodoo. I have NEVER dealt with Telus or Koodoo, only Rogers and many years ago Bell Mobility, never Telus. They wanted me to verify some personal info. I did not give them anything, as I know what kind of fancy scams are out there these days and I will not give these people anything. Now after reading this blog and some other info. online, I am even more skeptical of how legit this company is. Sure, they say on their website that they are accredited with the BBB and have a good rating, when I checked, but I still do not trust them. They contacted me and knew my name and said they have my info. including Social Insurance Number etc. and wanted me to verify birthdate etc. for security purposes. I told them that "You called me, about some bill that is obviously not mine because I have never dealt with Telus etc. so you give me proof of who you are and said bill/overdue balance because I am giving you NOTHING and I do not deal with Telus nor have I ever!" They said "It doesn't work that way and aren't you interested in knowing if this bill you say is not your's if there is a case of fraud that could ruin your credit?" So I told them that "I don't work that way, so I am not playing this game". After researching some info. about CBV and Telus it seems both are very unprofessional companies and this racking up of illegitimate debt is nothing new and quite common. Point taken, never deal with Telus/Koodoo and don't give any info. to this CBV company. Thank you for this blog and information. It has been the most revealing stuff about them I have seen yet.

  10. Anything past 2 years to 7 years, depending where you live in Canada, is not within limitation of statutes. They can not force you to pay anything after that, unless you admit to the debt to them. Then they have you for anothet two to seven years. However, they can put a debt towards your credit. But, if you write a letter to the credit bureaus, you can have it removed.

What people don't realise is your provider may not have you in file anymore because they sold your debt to CBV or Metro. Meaning you can't even prove you don't owe them money, before the limitations is up. And it is in most providers contracts what happens with outstanding debts. If you don't hear from them, and suddenly do, it's because your file pops up automatically, so they know they have to get you to admit debt before times up, and start all over. What they don't seem to realise is, they can it charge interest on accounts that are closed. Bit they convince people that they owe interest.

  11. Hi, My keybaord is breaking, Im sorry if there will be mistakes. but I just came across this post. I had CBV contact me yesterday for debts. They called about a telus account from 2011. They knew my old address of 2005. they get your information from old accounts and try tag you in debt fishing for an acknowledgement in "new debts" anyway I didnt acknowlegde telus one because I fully belived i paid telus up.Anyway they said i also owe money mart 900 dollars but with interest its going to go up to 1000 and they were also able to report this to my credit score and lower it. which is what ticks me off because i was a victim of identity theft but have since recovered and cover all my bases now and watch my credit score and inquires. so this was a shock! so i got off the phone not knowing how these suckers got my cell numbr calling me 10 15 times a day. I called money mart and was told Im not even in there system and i certainly dont owe them money. Ive asked them to verify their compay to me and she just told me well i will call back another day and try verify your name then. I said no way! this isnt my debt. oh boy! if they call me back again Im taking them to court because its against the law to call me back if i stated and gave proof the debt is not mine. (alberta) agan sorry my keyboard is breaking..let me know if you have any tips.
